(500) Days of Summer

(500) Days of Summer came highly recommended but I did not make it past the halfway point.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel did good jobs bringing their characters to light. The story crippled the film for me. Perhaps because casual heartlessness plagued my first quarter-century, perhaps because of the non-linear narrative, perhaps because the film tried too hard to be hip and indie, but I neither believed that the characters would get together nor cared if they did.

I recommend skipping (500) Days of Summer.
