Thanks, Steve

Tiger includes an update to Image Capture. Now it has the ability to automatically take an action upon scanning of an image. By default the action is to show the image in Preview. I saw that the list also contained an “Other…”. For kicks and giggles, I selected “Other…” and selected iPhoto. Sure enough, as soon as I scanned an image it imported it into iPhoto.

How remarkably useful and time-saving. Thanks, Steve.

The Force is Strong in this One

We watched Star Wars: Clone Wars yesterday as my kids played with their new Darth Vader Lego figurines. The youngest got so into it as to insist on being called "Yoda" and trying to speak in Yoda's voice.

It is so cute to hear the little voice artificially made low and gravelly. Although it probably gave Frank Oz a case of the heebie jeebies.

I've been laid up the last four days with some evil gastro-intestinal illness. Blecch.

Did I Mention that iPhoto Rocks?

For about the same price as sending a bouquet of flowers, with iPhoto I had a custom, hard-cover book of photos of the kids sent to their great-grandmother for her birthday.

I know that it's general enough to apply to most people, but I still like what they had to say about me:

Your Birthdate: ???
Your birthday on the ??th adds a tone of idealism to your nature.

You are imaginative and creative, but rather uncomfortable in the business world.

You are very aware and sensitive, with outstanding intuitive skills and analytical abilities.

The ?? reduces to 11, one of the master numbers which often produces much nervous tension.

This is the birthday of the dreamer rather than the doer.

You do, however, work very well with people.
