Phrasing

There are a few phrases that I like but do not get the chance to use very often:

  • More honored in the breach than the observance (Shakespeare)
  • His reach exceeds his grasp (Browning?)
  • 'Tis fraught with peril
  • I like the cut of your jib
  • He's gratefully devoid of the ravages of intelligence
